Compressor 2.1 Essential Training: Compression Task Overview In Part 5 of Lynda.com's Compressor training series, trainer Larry Jordan details the benefit of automation By Larry Jordan

Apple's version of its video and audio compression application, Compressor 2.1, packs a lot of new features and produces smaller video files for publishing to the Web or DVD.

In this tutorial, Apple-certified instructor Larry Jordan shares workflows and techniques to help DVD Studio Pro and Final Cut Pro users master media compression.

The training covers how to work with markers, create custom destinations, improve video and audio quality, customize both interface and settings preferences, and more.

Compression Task Overview goes over setting certain tasks that will be able to be used over and over again, such as creating custom presets, destinations, creating Compressor droplets, compressing AC3, and other Compressor presets and preferences that can be from project to project.
