Compressor 2.1 Essential Training: Advanced Compression Workflow In Part 3 of Lynda.com's Compressor training series, Larry Jordan goes over some workflow and techniques in Compressor By Larry Jordan

Apple's latest version of its video and audio compression application, Compressor 2.1, packs a lot of new features and produces smaller video files for publishing to the Web or DVD.

In this tutorial, Apple-certified instructor Larry Jordan shares workflows and techniques to help DVD Studio Pro and Final Cut Pro users master media compression.

The training covers how to work with markers, create custom destinations, improve video and audio quality, customize both interface and settings preferences, and more.

In an Advanced Compression Workflow, Larry goes over what you can do to change the settings and the size of movie files. There are ins and outs that he discusses where you can clip your movie to certain parts so that only those parts of the movie are compressed and checked for quality.

He also discusses cropping the movie so that you can make a movie shot in 4:3 aspect ratios look like it was shot as a 16:9 and vice versa.
